RESOLUTION

“GREEN BRIDGE THROUGH GENERATIONS” SECTION

We, the participants of the “Green Bridge through Generations” section having discussed the key issues of promoting the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev for XXI century sustainable development and global energy and ecological strategy, “Green Bridge” partnership program and Noospheric paradigm of XXI century world civilization development and implementing the Declaration of world higher education institutions on support for education for sustainable development declare the necessity to:

1. Support the initiative of the Head of the State of the Republic of Kazakhstan as scientifically justified and innovative principles crucial to meet the global challenges.

2. Unite the potential of the world’s leading scientific schools in the field of energoecological security and sustainable development.

3. Form unique educational space and strengthen the role of young generation in civil community for the development of innovative approaches to the realization of sustainable development and energy and ecological strategy as well as new ideas on green technologies.

4. Develop the most effective ways of forming the scientific and applied innovation development projects bank in the field of “green” energy, including innovative development of existing energotechnologies, active usage of renewable and alternative energetics, transition into production of less energy consuming products, nanotechnology based new materials, biotechnology and so on.

5. Take practical steps to develop and implement long-lasting International training and retraining project mechanisms, and involve young generation in the process of energy and ecological development on both state and local levels.

6. Develop noospheric civilization and establish an innovative social and economic system on the base of breakthrough and environmentally friendly noospheric technologies in all spheres of life, which enhances the transition of society from unsustainable to sustainable models of production and consumption.

7. Develop comprehensive series of actions for training specialists, who are able to provide high-tech ecologization of economy and manage the database processes; to conduct research on optimization of regional and state cycle “Economy –energy – ecology”.

8. Discuss development of an integrated strategy “Green Bridge for Green Campus” on turning the world universities campuses into the center for green economy and ways of sustainable cooperation in transforming universities into the centers for “smart cities through the smart universities”

9. Call on countries, international and community-based organizations and business structures for realization of cross-regional “Green Bridge” partnership transfer technology programs.

10. Take as a basis a modernized legal document “Noospheric Ethical-Ecological Constitution for Mankind” and summit the Noo-Constitution after modification taking into account Rio+20 participants’ proposals, to the respective structures of the UN for the promotion of main ideas of the document and realization of the main provisions.

11. Support the initiatives of the higher education institutions, participating in the Section, on establishment of International Consortium of “Green Bridge” Through Generations”.
